How much will my cake cost?

Each cake is priced according to design, decoration and time taken to complete. Basic prices start from £25.00 for a 6" sponge cake and increase with cake sizes, number of tiers and design detail.

How far ahead should I order my cake?

Celebration cakes and cupcakes should ideally be ordered up to one month in advance. However I may be able to take orders closer to the date, depending on size and complexity of order and my availability.

Wedding cakes no less than six months in advance, particularly  if a consultation is required.

What size cake should I get?

Please use my portion guide. This is intended as an approximate guide only.  The number of servings from a cake will vary depending on how it's cut.

With a wedding cake it is advisable to add extra servings to include unexpected guests.

What flavours are available?

The most popular and regularly requested flavours are shown, please ask if you would like a different flavour.

Does my wedding cake have to be all the same flavour?

Simple answer, No! Each tier can be different flavour. This way you can offer your guests a choice. I would recommend if having chocolate fudge or fruit cake, to make this the base tier as these are quite dense.

How does a consultation work?

A consultation is a meeting to discuss your cake and is for 2 people and lasts approximately 2 hours. There is a choice up to 4 flavours of cake, chosen by you, to sample. We will discuss cake quantities, flavours, decoration, delivery etc. Please bring along colour swatches, mood boards and any decorations, pictures that you think would be helpful.

What's inside my cake?

A Wedding cake ( tier) is approximately 5-6" tall. There are four layers of sponge cake with three layers of filling. Around the outside edge the cake is covered with a chocolate ganache, which provides an airtight firm but soft to cut shell onto which the sugarpaste icing is placed.

Celebration Cakes are 4-5" tall with three layers of sponge and two layers of filling. Buttercream or ganache around the outside depending on design and budget.
